SECTIONAL SERIES

This series is for athletes competing in Pre-Novice, Novice, Junior and Senior, in the Men, Women, Pair and Ice Dance categories eligible to qualify for the Sectional Championships. Please refer to the 2023/2024 Sectional Series Qualifying Information and Maximum Entries per Category. In order to be eligible to qualify for Sectionals, athletes must have declared to have their scores tracked and published in ranking order by completing a declaration form. The deadline to complete the form for Junior & Senior categories is 12:00pm on Friday, September 1st, 2023. The deadline for Pre-Novice & Novice categories is 12:00pm on Friday, October 6th, 2023.

Please note: 

- For Junior and Senior categories, scores from the August and October Skate Ontario Sectional Series events will be used for the 2023/24 qualifying process.  

- For Pre-Novice and Novice categories, scores from the October and November Skate Ontario Sectional Series events will be used for the 2023/24 qualifying process.

Important info on the Sectional Series calendar for the 2023-2024 season:

Sectional Series July

  • The first competition of the season was hosted by Skate Ontario with Gloucester Skating Club at Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex in Orleans from July 20-23.
  • This was a NON-QUALIFYING event.

Sectional Series August

  • This competition was hosted by Skate Ontario with Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club at  RIM Park in Waterloo from August 18-20.
  • This was a QUALIFYING EVENT for Junior and Senior categories ONLY. All other categories were NON-QUALIFYING.

Sectional Series October

  • This competition will be hosted by Skate Ontario with Barrie Skating Club and Mariposa Winter Club at Allandale Recreation Centre in Barrie from October 12-15.
  • Registration for this event is now CLOSED.
  • This is the first QUALIFYING EVENT for Pre-Novice and Novice levels.
  • STAR 6 - Gold Singles and Dance are also being offered.

Sectional Series November

  • This competition will be hosted by Skate Ontario with York Region Skating Centre at Ed Sackfield Arena in Richmond Hill from November 2-5.
  • Registration for Pre-Novice and Novice categories is now CLOSED.
  • The registration period for Junior and Senior skaters will follow the conclusion of the final qualifying event for these categories, Sectional Series October.
  • This is the final QUALIFYING EVENT for Pre-Novice and Novice levels and the championships for Junior and Senior levels.

2024 Skate Ontario Pre-Novice and Novice Sectional Championships & Sectional Series December

  • This event will be hosted by Skate Ontario with Hutsville Skating Club at Canada Summit Centre, 20 Park Drive, Huntsville from December 7-10. 
  • Registration for this event will open at 12:00 PM EST on Monday, October 2, 2023 and close at 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
